Cleonique Hilsaca is a mixed-media artist who was born in city of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, the heart of the Central America. She loved art from a tender age but started her serious journey to become an artist while in middle school. Currently she resides in Georgia where her passion for design and drawing led her to a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration and a minor in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art & Design. After graduation she felt it was time to get down to serious business. Besides her love for sketching and her light-hearted and simple style is almost purely digital. Cleonique is inspired by nature and comics and children’s stories. Her work has been exhibited in the United States and internationally. At a young age, she liked to do things by herself and this led to the development of her artistic talent.
She knew that she would become a professional artist and was lucky to receive support from those who liked her art. Cleonique uses texture, light and dark and delicate tones to deliver a picturesque image and character of her subject matter that draws the viewer to stop and take a second look. She has always had luck to sell quite a large number of his pieces of art. Once she started working professionally, she began to receive commissions and freelance work from those who loved her art. Cleonique has spent a lot of time studying trends so that her art can remain relevant and effectively satisfy her clients’ needs. Her art has found its way into many prestigious galleries, museums, institutions and homes around the world.
