Born and raised in West Chester, Pennsylvania, Christine Kerrick loved art from her childhood. Painting and Drawing came naturally to her and she couldn't imagine working in any other field, so she joined University of the Arts in Philadelphia, from where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration. She spent her early career as a graphic designer and in the course of her work she learned typography, color separation for fabric printing, print production, and the design software that she used to take a project from concept to finished book, print or other products. She gained experience in the process of going from original artwork to finished commercial product. Christine moved to South Florida in 1995, where she illustrated and wrote two graphic novels based on end-time events and three comic books. Her fine artwork thrived and took on new twist when she worked with a fellow artist who was a specialist in textures and in creating custom art for the trade.

With this artist, she learned a technique copying the luminosity and richness of oil paint using texture and acrylic.  In 2001, she joined the Sheriff's Office in Broward County as a graphic designer. The Sheriff sent her to the F.B.I. Academy in Virginia, where she learned missing person identification and forensic facial imaging for crime victim. Once she was back to South Florida, the C.I.D. and other police departments in the neighborhood enlisted her help to create amalgamated drawings from postmortem drawings, witness interviews, and reconstructions from skeletal remains. Some of her art made identifications possible.
