After completing his education, he opened his studio in Manhattan and worked for more than 20 years, photographing editorial and advertising campaigns for numerous advertising agencies, national and international corporations, magazines and design firms. His commercial work covered a variety of subject matter; from shooting beauty layouts and super models for fashion, to cargo ships for international shipping corporations. In all his works he incorporated his unique approach and style. McLoughlin’s photographs have been published in virtually all leading newspapers and magazines, throughout the world and he has won every award of print excellence offered by the Advertising Industry, which include: several One Show awards and Clio’s, CA’s, Andy’s.

He’s been an artist since his childhood and could bee seen reading art books from a tender age. He uses high quality materials to produce his art, and that’s why his art have high price tags on them. Apart from photography, McLoughlin loves to read and to travel a lot. He feels that it is a blessing to be an artist because he uses his art to communicate his feelings to his viewers. Although his professional career focused more on the commercial side of photography, he had never lost spectacle of the art of the medium, and the photographic explorations of those who inspired him to become a photographer.
