Marcin Stawiarz (Born 1981) was born in Czestochowa, Poland. Also was a student at the Warsaw Photographic School, where he had the opportunity to interact with many amazing photographers and their works. He obtained a master's degree as a computer scientist in economics in 2006. In the recent past, Stawiarz he received prizes in international photographic contests such as the 2008 IPA Architectural Photographer of the Year and the 2009 Venice International Photography Contest where he emerged the Best Young Photographer. Stawiarz is also a Grand Prize winner of the 2009 Image International contest in Canada. His photographs were published in photographic magazines in several countries including the Asian Photography (India), England (Digital SLR Photo and Practical Photographer), United Arab Emirates (Soura Magazine), India (Asian Photography), and Taiwan (Idea Photos). Stawiarz has always been fascinated by landscapes where he can stay one on one with nature – places that are absolutely desolate.
He’s represented by Kontemplacje Gallery in Warsaw and Art Gallery Ryf in Zurich. Over the last few years his works have been presented at numerous international exhibitions, in Poland, USA, Czech Republic Italy, England, and Switzerland,. In 2008, he created online photographic magazine called Neutral Density. Since the beginning of his adventure with photography, every landscape has been an unforgettable experience to him, thanks to which he’s learnt how to interpret light. He says that luck is another key element of photography that’s directly connected with lighting. Lately, his interests have widened to include cityscapes, where he pursues qualities characteristic to nature – peace and harmony.
