Kristin Mosher was born and raised in New York State. She developed a passion for photography and nature in her youth.  Kristin has a background in sciences from the university; this has made her to explore photography as a creative outlet and from an informed angle.  She also studied speech language pathology at Syracuse University, and after her studied she moved to Connecticut where she took a position as Director of Operations with the Jane Goodall Institute. From there Kristin moved to East where she shifted to a career as a wildlife photographer.  She focuses on Gombe National Park, Tanzania, documenting the life histories of the wild chimpanzees in the park.  The photographer worked for the Jane Goodall Institute as a freelance photographer to promote conservation chimpanzees along side her husband Bill Wallauer, a cinematography and chimpanzee expert. The chimpanzees made famous unprecedented studies by Goodall.

Kristin received 2 awards for her outstanding works from the top prestigious wildlife photography competitions in the world. She won in the Mammal Behavior category an award titled the “Wildlife Photographer of the Year,” in 2004. Her works were exhibited in the Natural History Museum in London. BBC Wildlife Magazines and National Geographic, among others, have published her photographs. Kristin hopes that her art evokes a sense of connectedness, while at the same time beginning a dialogue of understanding that brings positive action. Her images were selected to promote Planet Earth by BBC.  In addition to her photography, Kristin has recorded sound for documentaries that highlight Jane Goodall’s discoveries and the Gombe chimps.
