Keren Su was encouraged to take art as a career since his childhood when he first learned calligraphy. He knew that one day he would become a professional artist. Today, he’s an accomplished sumi painter. He’s also a culture explorer, artist, adventurer, mountain guide and photographer. This self-taught Chinese artist is known for three firsts in China: he is the first person to motorbike around China, to ride a one-gear bicycle across China, and to raft with an inner tube raft down the world's longest interior river, the Tarim River. Represented by Danita Delimont and China Span, Keren’s art has been exhibited extensively through out the United States. He currently lives in the Seattle area where he devotes his time to painting, photography and arranging for his "special tours" to China. He went to the United States at the end of 1987. While still in China, he worked for the China Mountaineering Association as a mountain guide.

He guided many climbing and trekking expeditions to K2, Mt. Everest, the Pamir Plateau, and many remote areas in China. He also worked for the Peace Expedition to Mt. Everest that took place in 1990 and was named the coordinator of this expedition because of his extensive mountaineering experience. He wants each viewer to become as captivated by her photographs and paintings as he is with the capturing or painting process. He has enjoyed continuing success as a photographer and painter, and has had ongoing representation at major galleries in the U.S. His art provide an opportunity for the viewer to roam through passages exploring their own whereabouts.
