Anna Dittman is a San Francisco-based digital illustrator with a passion for enigmatic portraiture. She graduated with a BFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2015. Anna gets her inspiration from history, texture and color variations, mythology, organic natural elements, melodies, movement, expressions, lyrics, and pretty much anything which makes her want to grab her tablet and paint. Her paintings are a sight to behold: wraithlike portraits inspired by nature and look like they are ink or watercolor, but are actually digital masterpieces. As a child, she wanted to recreate the world as she saw it. Her first canvases were the walls of her bedroom on which she did all manner of her artwork, and it’s been a fantastic and a strange ride since.

She began taking painting more seriously around age thirteen when she discovered Adobe Photoshop. When she realized that some people actually make a living drawing, she was determined to pursue a career doing something she loves. Before college, she was mostly self-taught and she practiced digital art through trial and error and through web tutorials. Anna took some art classes while in high school, and fortunately it was there that her painting teacher encouraged her to look into art school. Anna loves being surrounded by creative people with a similar passion for art, who teach her, push her, and inspire her on a daily basis. Her creative process normally starts with a vague concept in her mind and then she sketches out the idea in black and white.
