Nicholas Bell is a fine art photographer who specializes in black-and-white and monochromatic color-toned work. He’s a self-taught who grew up in Tampa, Florida. However, he has made Knoxville, Tennessee his home since 2007. His interest in photography began while he was on a journey through Europe with the United States Army. It was during this time that Bell gained a deep appreciation for both the power of photography and visual art as a means of artistic expression. Immediately he left the Army and having made photography his hobby, Bell dedicated years to study, practice, and developed his artistic vision. In 2004, he began pursuing photography with a renewed purpose and he got a chance to participate in his first exhibition in 2008. The exhibition was very successful, and since then, he has participated in several others and even established professional relationships with publishers, designers, and fine art consultants.

He currently works full time in photography. Photography for him has very much to do with time and his perception of time passing. His photographs are published widely and are held in public and private collections across the world, particularly the collections in the United States. The first day that he spent with a camera he discovered that it allowed him to slow down and live in the moment in a manner that nothing else had done. His art has been published in The Sun Magazine, Black and White Magazine, Shutterbug Magazine, Photography Master Class Magazine, F-stop Magazine and Adore Noir Fine Art Photography Magazine. His hope is that his images convey tranquility and will allow his viewers to slow down and have a second look.
