Nalbandian has photographed in close to 40 countries worldwide, and in a wide variety of environments and situations from sporting events to wars, from luxury resorts to back alleys, and from remote deserts to cities. He is skilled at gaining access to areas and people to photograph the story. And he’s well-versed in providing photographs in a dependable and timely fashion from even the most remote areas. Nalbandian is fully equipped, insured, and trained to work anywhere in the world and in a wide range of conditions. His editorial work has appeared in a number of outlets including The Los Angeles Times, the Human Rights Watch World Report, The New Yorker, NPR, Telerama, Bag News, Zeke Magazine, Sputnik News, The Matador Network, Social Documentary Network, The Denver Post, The Summit Daily NewsLe Journal de Quebec, National Geographic Traveler, and Le Journal de Montreal, just o mention a few.

His fine art work is represented by Borealis Press, and Out of the Blue, and syndicated via such outlets as World Art Group and many others throughout the world. He spent 3 years covering the Northern Syrian war and the refugees in Turkey that flee from that war. A Whole World Blind, his debut monograph, entwines portraiture and documentary photography with essays, oral testimony, memoir and stories, to create a dramatic picture of the war.
