Marabeth Quin became a painter as a woman in her mid-30s, so her work tends to reflect a contemplation of life through a camera that has been sharpened by motherhood, maturity, and lengthy relationship with others. Happiness, not painting, is actually my work. The works of art she creates are the byproduct of her consistent dedication to the act of focusing on the magnificent bounty all around her. What began simply as experimentation and enjoyment has since become a lively career with placements in homes from Florida to Hawaii and abroad, as well as corporate collections such as UBS of Nashville and Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. Through art, she attempts to tune herself to the comfort that underlies everything and often gets drown out by the noise of life.

Through this broader perspective, she portrays the themes that dominate her work; namely appreciation of beauty and nature, happiness, the intimacy of the heart, and vibrant life. Whether she’s painting with oils or acrylics, and regardless of the subject matter, she’s always reaching for an otherworldly quality to portray those times in which her life, at unanticipated moments, is rich with mysterious texture and meaning, taking on an eternal quality, out of time and space. She has participated in many art exhibitions including Harding Academy, Gallery 202, Flyte Restaurant, ArtSingapore, Spotlight on Art Artists Market, Lipscomb Art Event, Webb School ArtXtravaganza, St. George's Art Show, Fusion Art Show, The Hillsboro ArtWalk, New York Art Expo, Mad Platter, Las Vegas Art Expo, and The Studio Gallery, among others.
