Clif Hadfield is an artist who was born in Somerset, MA. He was educated in Boston and served his apprenticeship in New York City as an illustrator, designer, and an art director. His clients included Intel, Polaroid, Pan-Am, Georgia-Pacific, and Gillette. Hadfield has an inimitable and distinctive style that has earned him reputation as one of the world’s best artists in the US and beyond. He relies so much on drawing and gives much attention to surface detail and texture in his paintings. His work has been published in Forbes, Business Week, Field and Stream and the Wall Street Journal. In 1970 Hadfield relocated to an 80-acre ranch near Portland, Oregon, where he raised horses and cattle while pursuing a direction in fine-art. As an oil painter, he specialized in landscape subjects and Tuscany, California mission.

And as a watercolorist he was best known for the series of iris paintings he created for the Iris Gardens catalogue of the famous Cooley. He doesn’t ignore little details that are ignored by many artists. Hadfield has passion for his environment, and this is his most valuable qualification. His work was represented by leading Arizona and California collections and is in public and private collections around the world. He participated in many art exhibitions and his pieces often incorporated selected elements from paintings that he admired. He resided in Oregon until 2008 when he passed on. He loved what she was doing and his works are able to speak for themselves. He didn’t fear trying different techniques and styles when working on a particular project.
