Award-winning landscape photographer Natalie Mikaels is based in New Hope, Pennsylvania. She trained through the New York Institute of Photography, and has been traveling the US in search of rare captures of majestic light and atmospheric conditions for many years. Her goal when creating an image is to convey the spirit of the place or person. She’s takes photographs that evoke in the viewer the same emotional response she experienced at the time the she was taking the photograph. She strives to capture the essence of the moment, and then reproduce it on a digital canvas. She aims to build an image that is as provocative, energetic and dynamic as possible. Her work is based on the notion that visual imagery should evoke emotion and also tantalize the senses. It is her hope that her images provide a sensory gateway through which the viewer may step into the photograph and relive the experience over and over again.

Natalie’s keen eye for the visually dramatic and many changing moods of nature has attracted a wide audience around the world. Her photography can be found in both national and international private collections. She’s also represented by Image Conscious, an international publishing company and distributor of fine art reproductions. Though to produce a digital image, some degree of post-processing is necessary, Natalie does not add features to an image that were not present at the time she was photographing the scene. Nor, does she replace or add colors that were not present at the time of taking the photograph. The vibrant colors seen in her images are basically the result of shooting in very specific types of light, having mastered the technical properties of her camera, and using the appropriate lens filters.
