Lars van de Goor’s first passion was music with the latest passion being editing and photography. In 2007 soon after starting with photography his images started to get noticed and gained in popularity over the years. Just 4 years later, in 2010, he was nominated as a top ten finalist in one of the most esteemed awards in the world of photography, the Hasselblad Masters Award. Today he’s an official Hasselblad Master in the category Nature/Landscape. Being new in photography it’s no wonder he takes great pains to showcase the wonder and beauty of nature in his photographs. Van de Goor edits his photos to bring out the colors and enhance the play of light on his subjects. He doesn’t operate on a fixed principle. Within the short time that he has been a photographer, he has managed to produce pieces that match those of photographers who have been in this business for several years.

He works as a professional photographer and is today publishing his work worldwide. His main goal is still where it once started with: he wants to be able to capture the magical moments of nature and show the beauty of nature to as many people as possible. It is rare to find him without a camera. He likes to shoot without a tripod; though he believes shooting with tripod produces better images and therefore less post processing is needed, he says shooting with a tripod limits his creativity. Fortunately there are excellent cameras that can shoot at high ISO and still produce high quality images without tripod.
