R. Collier-Morales is a calligrapher, designer and illustrator. She’s been an illustrator for about 40 years. Collier-Morales studied her craft, worked and lived in New York City for sixteen years before she moved to Colorado in 1991. While in New York, she learned the craft of designing children's books and today she’s many books in her bibliography. The artist has illustrated for trade book markets, educational and mass market. She studied calligraphy in New York City at Parsons New School. He mission is to create inspiring images of animals, humanity, the unseen world and nature that will excite the imagination of children and the imagination of those who are children at heart. She holds a Masters Degree in Studio Arts from Marywood University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Education and Illustration from Colorado State University.

After her graduation, she has worked in several places including Arvada Jr. High in Arvada, Colorado where she worked as an art teacher. She’s also worked with Ray Diffen Costume Design in New York City as an assistant costume designer. From 1976 to 1983, Collier-Morales worked with E.N.T.E.R. as an Art Instructor.
