Victor Valla is an educator and an artist with more than 3 decades years of experience. His Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration and Painting is from RIT, in Rochester (New York), and his Master of Fine Arts degree in Printmaking and Painting, was earned at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana on Scholarship Grants. While in Paris on a Tiffany Foundation Grant, as a post-graduate, Valla studied Printmaking at the Atelier 57, a famed center, and he has taught full-time in Art History Programs, Illustration, and Graphic Design at several of the top Art Schools in the U.S. Among these are University of the Arts, Kean University in New Jersey, and in PA Syracuse and RIT Universities in New York. He has also taught some courses at William Patterson and Montclair State Colleges in New Jersey, UALR, in Little Rock, AR, University of Illinois, and at several Community Colleges in the Northeast.

Valla is of Danish and French heritage and is married to Armanini Justine Valla, an artist in the textile industry. She’s a Textile Print Craftsperson and Designer. Valla is also an author and is marketing a new manuscript. Like many an artist, he has been compelled to work at his craft since he was only 10 years old. His first lead was the printed pages that were illustrated by the many fine Artists in America whose works he collected from the books and magazines that he grew up reading. He has been attracted to the 19th Century Academic Painting that had very much influenced the Illustrations of the Golden Age.
