Lisa Kennedy (Born 1963) is an Australian fine artist born in Melbourne, Victoria. She works as a writer, painter and illustrator. Lisa uses mixed media for her works. She is a graduate of Victoria College of the Arts where she earned a diploma of Visual Art in 2002. While still young, her father introduced her to the sea, great rocks, and the stars. She also grew up loving trees and other plants. Painting became her way of expressing herself at a very young age. It's through art that she was able to let her emotions free. At some point, she started painting for indigenous people who would ask her to paint specific stories while at times she would simply be asked to create a story and tell it through her painting. Lisa started looking into her roots and managed to achieve some level of information that consequently gave her some spiritual refreshment. Her only way to fit within the contemporary setting was through her artwork.

In 1994, Lisa self published a book and followed it with a children's book in 1995. In 2000, she wrote another book for her son to give him spiritual strength since they had to stay apart. The book is called "Nick's Amazing Journey." She's currently preparing one of her books for publication; a series of 72 watercolor paintings that have been compiled in form of a story. She has also done a lot of community projects in arts and has created and directed a puppetry performance. Lisa has created several works that cover a host of subjects such as laundry accessories, nature, country homes, and Christmas art.
