Decorative Hakimipour - Ritter Wall Art

Hakimipour-Ritter was born in Aruba and raised in Calcutta. Just from a young age, she knew that she would become an artist. Most of her free time was occupied by doing artwork. She spent her childhood surrounded by many art-loving friends who noticed her talent and encouraged her to pursue her interest in art. She joined the Art Institute of Chicago where she graduated with bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She later taught for two years at Young Rembrandts and started an art education course for children called “Budding Artists”. She also worked as art director on the TV show “Extreme Home Makeover”. What started out as an interest in photography has grown to advanced levels of art, including squilting, tainted glass, faux finishing, and acrylics on canvas. Hakimipour-Ritter has always been influenced by the international world. She brings many new and textured mediums to mix with her great sense of spacing, light and color. These have allowed her to obtain the unique look on her artwork. She is a talented designer with great insight to different eclectic multi-layering of colors, objects and textures. Hakimipour-Ritter’s paintings are now much sort after by many private collectors and galleries throughout the world. Her work has been published as fine art prints, as greeting cards, and as posters. Her work can be found in several institutions and in thousands of private and corporate collections all over the world. She now lives in Orlando Florida with her three children.
