Sam Toft (Born June, 1964) was born in England. She’s famous for her humor light, paintings and artwork. Her favorite tools are oil-pastel crayons and she works with them very quickly. Sam’s work is done only on a small scale. Her first ambition was to work in the post office. However, rather than achieving this dream, she became a civil servant, a silver-service waitress, a catering manageress, a fire extinguisher salesperson, a death grants advisor and a student. Sam was even unemployed for a time. Today, she lives in Brighton. She has lived in many places in England. She graduated from Kingston Polytechnic in South West London with a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Social Science. Currently, it is known as Kingston University.
While still at the university, she had no idea what career to pursue or what path to take, but she was sure she would never become a poet, no mater what. Because she couldn’t seem to find her passion and due to her many previous different jobs, she decided to make a drastic change in her life. She decided to go back to Liverpool where she took a vocational course and received a qualification in General Art and Design (BTEC) at the City of Liverpool Community College. During that time, Sam was inspired by a teacher called Hering. She used to admire his artwork and teachings a lot. And the teacher gave her the confidence to pursue art as a career. Since then, she’s made 100s of handmade cards and many other pieces of artwork.
