Cindy Shamp is a folk painter who’s best known for her lovely depiction of folk animals and scenes. Cindy's passion to draw began when she was young. She has done Limited Edition Prints to support many charities nationwide. Inspiration for her paintings comes to her in different forms - from Scripture that grips her heart, the simplest shape, or the natural beauty around her home in Tennessee. She feels God has given her talent to design, create and paint. And it is her responsibility to spread His light through her paintings. In her paintings, she tries to convey her feelings in a way that touches hearts and makes people think of simpler times.
Being married to a military man for more than 2 decades has made her to learn what "love of Country" really means and it has had a great influence on her paintings. Painting in a folk art Americana style will always be her first love. However, in recent years she has found painting in other colors and styles to be very rewarding as well. Cindy's works carry a wonderful selection of her art in tapestry throws, woven tapestries, blankets, wall hangings and wall art. Her distinctive folk art combines inspiring words of faith with an Americana touch. As a stay-at-home mother, Cindy used a paintbrush she inherited from a collection to begin a cottage industry of painting on wood, slate and other recycled materials. Her delightful art exemplifies a strong commitment to her country, family and to God.
