“Tuscan Pleasures I” is a contemporary image of a floral Tuscan country side. There’s a thin path of dirt up the middle of the image with flowers of gold on the left, and dark red flowers on the right. The path leads to an open field of green, dotted with purple flowers in places. A large Tuscan styled home can be seen in the distance and trees in dark green are on both sides.
Created with both a brush and palette knife, artist Peter Hulsey has layered the paint in this image to add texture and show the effects of the sun on the floral landscape in a style that appears impressionistic.
The small size of this print makes it ideal for finishing with a large white mat, or even multiple mats that bring out the colors of the various featured flowers. A gold frame would work well in homes with a Tuscan décor style. A dark brown frame also works well for this piece.
