In this print Egidio Antonaccio has captured the beauty of a crisp cold winter’s morning in a forest. A path zig-zags its way through the heavily wooded terrain. The ground is covered in snow as are the evergreen trees, shrubs and tufts of wild grass on the edge of the trail. Two tracks are visible in the snow and could be that of a cross-country skier. The sun casts a shadow on the path as it is filtered by the numerous tall deciduous trees that have shed their leaves. In the distance is a flat topped mountain. Clouds drift overhead and reflect the early morning sun’s rays giving them a pinkish hue. The setting is very peaceful and tranquil.
