Jennifer Carson was born in Ann Arbor, MI. She currently lives in New Hampshire with her husband, four sons and three pets. Jennifer says that she grew up on a steady diet of renaissance faires and Muppet movies and would occasionally be caught using a flashlight to read under the blankets. Besides being an editor for Faerie Magazine and, telling tales, she likes to create fantasy characters and creatures and publishes her own sewing patterns. Jennifer’s art and patterns are available both online and at physical stores. Her second published work of fiction is titled “Hapenny Magick”; she published it when the first one became so successful. In 2008, she was featured on WMUR TV show (the ABC affiliate), New Hampshire Chronicle. Her work has been featured in national magazines like Teddy Bear and Friends, Dolls United, Soft Dolls and Animals, and Faerie Magazine.

In April 2009, Jennifer received the NE-SCBWI Ruth Landers Glass Scholarship for her writing, and her sewing patterns have recently been translated in Dutch. She began painting murals in children’s rooms, starting with her own children’s room. Then she wanted to create the bedding, so she learnt to sew—something she had fought her mom tooth and nail over as a teenager. Jennifer produces unique art that can be used to decorate any space. Her art can be seen adorning the walls of many prestigious buildings, institutions and private homes around the world. She chooses her subjects carefully to ensure that her viewers will always have something to feed their eyes on.
