Yvette St. Amant was born Thunder Bay, Ontario. She attended Lakehead University from where she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts. She started producing serious paintings shortly after her graduation, though art has been her passion since childhood, and she had a dream of becoming a full time artist in her adulthood. Today she resides in Surprise, Arizona where she continues to fulfill her passion for painting. Her art is easily recognizable because of her unique style and technique. Her art, particularly “Birds of Paradise I & II”, showcase her ability to capture the freshness of early spring foliage, as well as the heat of the tropics in brilliant color. Color is something Yvette loves, and she knows how to use it to bring a sense of balance in her art. She has a strong passion for wildlife and this passion has inspired her to produce a series of large scale paintings featuring exotic animals.
Most of her art are sold as framed art, though there are other finishing options that also come in different sizes. Her art can be found on the walls of many prestigious spaces, galleries and institutions all over the world. Even though Yvette is a professional artist, she’s not stopped learning. She wants to keep her art fresh by associating with her fellow artists so she can learn from them. Since 2004, she’s been established as a published artist with Canadian Art Prints. Her pieces exhibit vivacious color palettes that she enhances by a combination of visible and blended abstract elements and brush strokes.
