Carol Grigg's painting music, philosophy, writing, potting, sculpting, and poetry reflect the essence of her very special being. She believes in preserving the environment and the land we have left. She loves animals and is interested in preserving what species we have left, the simplicity of the relationship between the earth, man, and beast and the unity of nature are what inspire her art. She is a whole person, confident, consistent, and truly devoted to her beliefs. Contributing her talent to many causes over the years, she has championed the recognition of Native American, ("The Lost Tribes"), as the only truly aboriginal inhabitants of North America and recognizing their kinship with the land. Her childhood in Oregon inspired her strong feelings for the environment and her coming of age in the 60's gave her courage to contribute, become involved and use her means and talents to make a difference. She’s basically a self-taught artist, though she followed the examples of her mother who is also an artist.

Her parents gave her much encouragement and the freedom to create which were very essential in the development of her career. Her images in the form of limited editions, giclees, posters, and originals have gained international recognition. Carol is best known for her pastels which are desert-colored depicting her Native American horse and rider. Carol explores a variety of creative forms; oil, watercolor, collage, inks, clay, poetry and music - anything she can quickly and easily get her hands on. She’s influenced by primitive art, especially from the earliest cave paintings.
