The art bug bit Michele Meissner at a very young age. She was born and raised on the outskirts of Buffalo, New York. At that tender age, she entered a painting in the Stick-Up for Breakfast Contest organized by Kellogg back in the 1970’s and she was surprised that she was one of the first place finalists. For this, she won a brand new bike. Her talent was noticed while she was still very young. She was always interested in art and was always encouraged and supported by her family and friends. Michele is a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. This is where she met her Marc who would later become her husband. Her husband is also an artist. Michele and Marc met the first day of school and they realized that they lived a short distance from each other back home in Western New York.

After her graduation, Michele worked at Fisher-Price Toys as a Graphic Artist. Over the years she has worked as the director of a toy museum. Michele and her husband owned a picture frame shop. Michele, her husband and their young son now live in the scenic town of Colden, New York. She concentrates on her art full-time and works out of her home studio. Currently the couple has a line of Buffalo prints where they come up with designs, publish and distribute together. Michele feels so attached to painting so much so that that whenever she takes a break from her work she feels empty.
