John Bradley (Born 1945) is a Landscape Artist from Australia. His early life was something like the Huckleberry Finn adventures. Surrounded by parks and river and large tracts of land, he was very free to roam during his schooling years. Bradley explored the surrounding areas extensively and in the process developed a love of nature, and a familiarity with many of its aspects. His Landscape artistic skills have been evident since he was 4 years of age when he would attempt to capture many of the scenes around where he lived and those that he saw on holiday, on large sheets of butcher’s paper. From 1956, at the age of 11, he began entering and winning drawing and painting competitions at the local schools and theaters in Australia, he would win free movie tickets for himself and his friends. Bradley spent many of his holidays with relatives and friends in such diverse locations as Narrabri, Kurrajong and Glen Innes.

Bushwalking the famous Australian Blue Mountains, gold fossicking at Bathurst or Opal mining at Lightning Ridge: all these activities provided him with a rich source of inspiration, experiences and Landscape imagery which, for many years, would lie dormant from an artistic point of view. Having completed his schooling Bradley worked in several companies, but it was in his role as national marketing and advertising manager that strongly aroused his interest in art once again. He worked closely with advertising agency magazine editors and freelance artists and was often called upon to produce layouts occasionally in finished art or in rough form.
