Val B. Bochkov specializes in design and illustration. He is a resident of Alexandria, Virginia. Bochkov has earned great respect as an artist with seven personal exhibitions in the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russia and the United States, including the infamous annual Edinburgh Art Festival. Bochkov’s illustrations can be seen in over 400 books. Some examples of his work are the illustrations for Grimm’s Fairy Tales, the New Testament, and the Golden Book of Russian Fairy Tales. He has also created many covers and illustrations for publications such as Cosmopolitan, the New York Times, Business Week, Washington Post, Men’s Health, and Good Housekeeping. Bochkov incorporates his experience and talents to create mixed media creative concepts that include illustration, television concept, package, creative outdoor, print and design. His skills have been used by such leading advertising agencies as BBDO, JWT, Arnold, and McCann-Erickson. His skills also earned him the coveted ADDY Award in 2003.

Bochkov has also contributed to the success of companies including BMW, Knorr, Discovery Communications, Proctor & Gamble, and Mercedes Benz. As the creative director of Grey Worldwide in Moscow, New York, and London, he developed numerous award-winning ads. Bochkov prefers to use a variety of media including gouache, watercolor, acrylic, oil, and digital He is the creative and principal director of The Val Bochkov Studio, in Alexandria, Virginia. His large quantity of talent and creativity is evident in all his designs and illustrations. The Val Bochkov Studio offers a variety of visual services including visualizing, concepts, and illustrations for public relations, adverting, and corporate needs.
