Judy Thorley is an artist from Ontario Canada. She has a studio at her home in Grimsby, Ontario just at the foot of the attractive Niagara Escarpment. Judy has been a tremendous source of inspiration to many upcoming artists. The artists who feel like they want to give up on art usually get back into the business after viewing her work and hearing his story. She enjoys working on distressed surfaces with multiple layers. Judy is inspired by many things, both man made and natural, from the latest fashion magazines to decaying old walls covered with peeling posters. She originally began painting in transparent watercolor but is currently exploring mixed media with acrylics, photo transfer and collage. Her art reflect a balance of emotion and technical skill.
Already, her works are found in several institutions and in several of private and corporate collections all over Canada and beyond. She has participated in many art exhibitions including Mount Carmel Fine Art and Music Festival, Savoury & Sweet Restaurant Music venue and Gallery, and Pelham Art Festival, among others. All of her art are large and are printed on high quality art stock which makes them quite ideal for framing. Her inspiring paintings reach out to the heart and soul of every viewer. She has great eyes and extra brains. Judy is also well-versed and extraordinary. She is a member of the Toronto Watercolor Society and has been an active participant in local Toronto art shows where her art have featured prominently.
