Tracie Louise thinks she was born with creativity running through her veins… but for over 30 years, she was an artist without a medium. She tried many things over the years, from drawing and painting, to art and craft, and even writing. But nothing seemed to excite her. She always loved photography from the very first time she took a shot while in 4th grade during a camp. At one point in her early 20′s, she even imaged that she might be able to be a photographer. She deiced to go to the Photography Institute to inquire about enrolment, but left at the last minute; she feared that she would not be able to make the grade. In the years that followed, she still loved to snap things on holidays. Tracie never really understood the point of going somewhere exciting and different unless one was going to photograph it. She thought she was just recording the events of her life…

She still didn’t see that this is what she was born to do. At age 45, her youngest son bought a digital SLR. Tracie was secretly envious of his new purchase, but excited for him. She borrowed it every chance she could, just to experiment and take pictures in her garden. Finally her son decided that he was never going to get the same enjoyment out of the camera than she was, and he allowed her to have it. Since that time, Tracie has absorbed, breathed, slept and eaten all things photographic. Her style has developed into something much more artistic than it once was and hopefully a little unique. It’s still early days for her yet. But to say that she found her passion would be an understatement of grand proportions.
