Michelle Oppenheimer has become well known for composing paintings that capture the organic and imaginative possibilities of abstract acrylic and watercolor. Over the past 15 years, her art has been praised for its therapeutic and calming nature - transformative and beautiful: a true reflection of the artist herself. In her focused use of acrylic and watercolor, viewers enjoy the healing power that a print or an original painting brings into their space. She’s skilled in blending of texture and color has earned her national acclaim, with Exhibitions at Bergamot Station and representation at LACMA Sales and Rentals, as well as numerous additional shows at galleries across the country. She’s had exhibitions at WallSpace Gallery, Chicago Art Source Gallery, Lark Gallery, Phantom Gallery, James Gray Gallery, The Rose Café, Malibu Living Home Gallery, and Jaxon Home, among others.

Her prints adorn the walls of many exclusive boutique hotels nation wide and can be purchased at Z Gallerie and Macy’s. Her background as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine is what she credits for helping her to create works of art that speak to the sense of unknown and mystery in the individuals who view them. Michelle is a firm believer in the regenerative and inspirational power of texture, color, and design, and derives her energy from her surroundings to imagine paintings that foster an environment of relaxation and peace and soothe the soul. She refrains from adding titles to her work because she doesn’t want to influence the viewers’ interpretation of the art. Michelle currently lives in Los Angeles, California and her husband and their two dogs.
