Shawn Meharg (Born in 1967) was born in Southern Ontario. Though he loved art from a tender age, it was not until 2001 that he began his voyage as an artist. Earlier in his career, he worked as a designer and theatrical scenic artist in many areas of the entertainment industry. He says that the making of artwork is what helps him in recalling forgotten moments of his past. He hopes that his viewers will sense a compulsion to illuminate those darkened conundrum pieces of their own personal history. The artist has experimented with many different painting techniques and his passion for the arts is represented through his delicate color palette. His art has been exhibited throughout the US in many one-person shows and also in group shows. Currently, he’s working and available for commission works. He has been exhibiting at Stellers Gallery since beginning his career as a fine artist.
Other places he has exhibited at include Martha's Vineyard, Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra Beach, Williams Cornelius Gallery, Art in Embassies United States Dept. of State, and Belushi Pisano Gallery, Waterwheel Art Gallery, Fernandina Beach, just to mention a few.
