Joseph Holodook was born and raised in the Historic Hudson River Valley. He paints the way he would like the world to be. His artwork reflects his environment - a welcoming, warm and friendly place never mean and uncaring. Holodook is largely self-taught and works from dreams, legends and life. He prefers working in oil paint, gouache and acrylics and has been able to create a large portfolio of work. From country Americana to Santa Claus and everything Christmas, after joining Porterfield's Fine Art Licensing his pieces of artwork have been licensed on a variety of products including prints, puzzles, holiday decorations and home decor. His licensees for which he has created artwork are Evergreen Enterprises, Hallmark, JCA, UNICEF, Heartside Home, Limited Treasures, Leanin' Tree, Tweel, Ne Qwa, Pictura, NCE, Wincraft, and many others both at home and abroad.

Holodook also created restoration artwork for the St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Ukraine, and for the Sacred Heart Church, both in Hudson, New York.
