Andrew Chittock (Born 1956, May) was born in Lichfield in the United Kingdom. His father and mother were both in the army and as he became a typical army brat. In 1973, he left Llandovery College and went straight and joined the Welsh Guards. Here, he spent the next two decades serving his Country and the Queen. It was in Welsh particularly, his last 5 years in the Welsh Guards that his photography career started. Chittock was in Germany accompanying the Battalion and a boxing match was organized, pitting the Scots Guards against one Evening, and the officer-in-charge, the Commanding Officer, saw him with a camera and directed him to take photos.

He was marveled at the products and from that day on he was told that he was the new unit photographer (he says that that’s how things were/are done in the army). He has earned his national acclaim, with several exhibitions at esteemed locations. He has also learned specific techniques and studied with very talented artists, but he says, referring to art, that sometimes it just all works and he doesn’t know where it came from. In 1993, he left the Battalion with all the army photo courses under his belt. And he through that he could do this full time and he became a freelance photographer in Chive Street. Photography has taken him to Serilone, Kosova, Bosaner, just to name a few. He also has a studio at Chive Street and a small darkroom. These are his pride and joy.
