Edward Gordon (Born in 1940) was born in Ocean City, New Jersey. He is a graduate of Rutgers University where he received his B.A. Gordon achieves painstaking and complete precision in his rendering of colors, forms and textures. Just like in photography, Gordon deliberately mellows the strong contrasts of the picture without necessarily blurring the forms. He softens the outlines of his drawings with such perfection that it becomes impossible to detect his under drawings. His art has gained recognition all over the world. Gordon creates a quiet beauty of a simple scene with fresh eyes. This gives his viewers an idea of what he actually felt as he watched the light flowing through the windows and the colors and shadows cast by objects in the interiors.

Gordon is an accomplished draftsman with a keen eye depicting his subject matters. Because of the incredible detail and precision contained in each of his paintings, he is able to produce only 4 to 6 images per year. His solitude evokes all senses of his viewers: the touch of objects, the sounds and smell of the ocean, with windows and doors opening to never-ending opportunities. In 1997, Gordon began publishing his own giclée prints. His prints and paintings are included in public and private collections Europe and across North America. At present he has published more than thirty giclée editions, some of which are sold out! His art is adorning the walls of many prestigious galleries, museums and private homes in America and abroad.
