Margaret Berg was born and raised in South Africa. She moved to Los Angeles in 2000 to pursue her creative passion. While in Los Angles, she studied art at Otis College of Art and Design. After her graduation, she was lucky to find work in some of the leading Studios and Advertising Agencies in Los Angeles. After working for many years as Art Director and Retoucher, Margaret began pouring her artistic energy back into decorating surfaces which was her childhood passion. Today she lives in Santa Monica, California and has an abundant array of independent illustration projects. She serves some of the coveted clients including Godiva, , Papyrus, Galison/mudpuppy, Hallmark Madison Park Greetings, American Greetings, UK Greetings, Evite Postmark, Graphique de France, Gina B. Designs, Paper Rose/The Art Group, C.R. Gibson, Pictura, Robert Kaufman Fabrics, PI Creative Wall Art, Tervis, Creative Tops, Image Conscious Wall Art, Demdaco, and many others.
She creates art for all and any surfaces, including magazines, books, greeting cards, packaging, giftware, stationery, tech accessories, textiles, drinkware, wall décor, murals, ceramics, and more. When she's not working on her artwork, she can be found gardening, in the ocean, camping in the wilderness or exploring the great outdoors. Her specialties include hand lettering. Illustration and surface design. She’s also a skilled high-resolution Finisher and Retoucher, and has excellent organizational, cooperative and communication skills. Margaret is also interested in Entertainment advertising and has exceptional knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator. With a love for people, creativity nature and God, she stewards her aims and gifts to uplift, bless others and spread joy.
