Guy Williams (Born 1932 - Died 2004) was born and brought up in San Diego, California. Taking his art career so casually is a way of life for him. He is known for minimalist expression, and started working in art at a very tender age. He received a lot of support from family and friends who noticed his early talent. He also knew he would become an artist. Williams used to paint, draw and sketch on any surface he would find, and used any material he would lay his hands on. His art improved over time and soon he began to receive commissions and orders. He also received invites for exhibitions which he honored. William held his first solo exhibition in 1981 at Jan Baum Gallery in Los Angeles. The show was very successful and he received several positive feedbacks and critics.

In the years that followed, he held many other solo exhibitions in several places including Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery at Barnsdall Park, LA, California (where he showed a selection of his work from 1976 to 1981), Santa Barbara Museum of Art, CA., New Work (1985), and Kiyo Higashi Gallery, Los Angeles, (he held several shows here from 1990 to 2004). His notable pieces of work include Stations of the Square Asia Series, The Four Elements, and Fossil Wall/Chewing Gum Inscriptions. Williams also held numerous group exhibitions with equal success. His art is today found in numerous private, museum and corporate collections all over the world. They are great for both inspirational and decorative purposes.
