Caitlin Schwerin likes to paint. She started painting in her childhood. She says that painting is her call of the wild. It dictates her life and she’s ok with that. Rarely will you ever find Caitlin not doing some artwork. Her work tends to be on the whimsical side. She works with sponges and acrylics and a handful of mediums that create the gloss and crackle. It’s a sunny outlook to combat the blues that inhabit our environment. Since 2003 she has held several group and solo exhibitions in several places including Chico Art Center, Chico, Uptown Studios Gallery, Sacramento, Pamela Skinner Gallery, Sacramento, The Black Crow, Chico, Sacramento State University, Sacramento, Cory’s Sweet Treats & Gallery, Chico, Chico Paper Company, Chico, The Truffula Movement, Café Max, Chico, and Hired Hands Office & Gallery. Her art has also been to auctions including Novato, Auction for Hurricane Katrina Relief, Boys & Girls Club Auction, and the American Heart Association Auction.
Within the time that she has worked as a professional artist, Caitlin has attracted a large number of clients who are always on the lookout for her new pieces. Her art is in many collections and galleries around the world. She paints what comes out of her art since she uses art to communicate her inner feelings to her viewers. She invites the viewers to enjoy the beauty of her art while at the same time get the message and inspiration.
