Katie Guinn is a Portland native, Aquarian, and Columbia gorge wanderer, a serious mother and dedicated wife. She has developed her unique style of producing art in which she uses lines that consist of contemporary pieces and having eclectic edges, but never lacking in the utilization of artfully minded composition, femininity, and comfort. Her pieces of art are dominated by natural fibers, which she combines with eccentric artificial materials which lend to the desired drape and fit of the clothing. She says that having wearers feel comfortable, beautiful and unique in a garment is a passion of hers. She’s the founder and owner of Katie Guinn Studio which is a design house in Portland Or. She outfits individuals who see fashion as an annex of their true selves - individuals who feel empowered through their miscellaneous feminine style.
Katie believes that dressing up is the way people live. So she takes wearability and comfort as seriously; this is in order to make more effortless the process of dandifying oneself. Katie’s inspired by the vivid beauty of her home in the Pacific Northwest. She’s also inspired by the vision and feeling a textile ensues when discovered; tactfully and visually. She’s also inspired by nature, art, music, history, and the perfectly beautiful shape of every woman. Her artwork follows her visions and emotions in place of a brand. She produces cohesive pieces naturally. However, she doesn't stop herself if she believes it doesn't match her aesthetic because she believes that's too limiting.
