John Kasinger discovered magic of art at a mere nine years of age and recognized that film was his king. He knew from that early age that he would become a professional artist. It took him much effort but at long last he achieved his dream. Kasinger has been a professional photographer since 1967, with fine art photographs, luxury photography, and original art being on his creative resume and in several online fine art galleries. Today saying that his work makes people stop and take notice would be an understatement. His inspiration was the great Fassbender Adolf and his studies in black-and-white have been purchased and published as advertising by Mamiya Corporation, Canon and Kodak in the 1970s. He earned the “Fellow of Photography” in 1982. This is a distinguished award given by The Professional Photographers of Washington. Kodak’s “Professional Portrait Techniques Book” is where much of his work was published.

Kasinger was published in Black and White Magazine in 2006 – the magazine is considered the main voice in black and white fine art photography. Fassbender helped shape Kasinger’s creativity as a student early in his career. His other inspiration has come from the great outdoors, and this has always played a big role in his work — he’s in awe of the Grand Canyon and Yosemite. And when Kasinger is not in his camera room at home working on a still life he can be found out photographing a beautiful landscape. The photographer has been married to Diane Mastel since 1982. His wife is a fine artist and together, they collaborate on projects at their home in Reno.
