Kathryn Boggs is a photographer and a painter. She creates luminous images by painting with oil pigments on silver gelatin photographs. Kathryn’s story is an inspiring story; many upcoming artists look upon her as their role model. Her art collections can be found on licensed products, and in the offices and homes of thousands of private collectors all over the world. Even though she has been a professional artist for many years, she’s still open to learning and most of the times she’ll be found with art books and also in consultations with her fellow artists. She also likes to visit art galleries and museums where she learns new techniques and styles. Her technique combines two art forms, oil painting and black and white photography. Kathryn displayed an interest in art from early childhood. She found himself in a cultural environment which helped to hone her artistic talent. Atmosphere and feeling are what she strives to include in her art.
Through this technique, she’s able to combine a lifelong love of oil painting with this technically challenging medium of film photography. To her, photography presents technical and composition challenges that need to be solved with the left side of the brain while painting allow her freedom and creativity. She uses all that artistic elements to ensure that she gets compositions that are perfectly balanced. Her art is very much influenced by nature and she produces them in a manner that appeals to viewers from all walks of life. That’s why she’s able to produce art that viewers can easily associate with.
