Five pink flamingos and their four chicks are the subject of this contemporary print by Ron Jenkins. The family appears to be in a small enclosed area beside a river or lake. The chicks are wading in the water, flapping their wings and creating ripples, while the adults look on like sentry guards. Each chick is covered in white downy feathers streaked with brown and are in contrast to the deep salmon pink color of the parents. Their curved beaks are prominent and have black tips. Lush vegetation runs along the banks of the water. Up above are blue skies with light white clouds. “Flamingo 1” will add color to any child’s bedroom.
