Spring in the country is a beautiful time of year and this image by Lene Alston Casey captures that feeling perfectly. Shown in this print is an old white barn with an open door, as if inviting the viewer in to take a peek inside. Leading to the door is an old dirt road with tire tracks from the many trucks that have passed it over the years. The road has a worn wood fence on both sides and tall green pastures growing on the other side. The fields are dotted with small flowers and there are even flowering trees growing along the way.
Created using oils and colors that are true to those found in nature, Casey has created an image that represents the country in a very authentic way making this reproduction of her oil painting perfect for a country home, bed and breakfast or other relaxing setting. A brown, rustic frame would keep with the modest feel portrayed in the image, or a white frame could be used to highlight the white flowers and bright areas in the print.
